St. Clair River Area of Concern Symposium: Bridging Gaps

Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025

DoubleTree by Hilton
800 Harker St, Port Huron, MI

Welcome to the 2025 St. Clair River Area of Concern Symposium!  This was a must-attend event for all who live, work, or play in the St. Clair River watershed!

We brought together nearly 20 speakers and panelists working across international waters to share the status of the St. Clair River today, discuss challenges, and look to the horizon to continue the river's restoration.

This binational conference offered an opportunity for attendees from Canada and the United States to demonstrate their commitment to restoring and protecting the St. Clair River.  We reflected on the collaborative progress to heal the rivers since its designation as a Great Lakes Area of Concern in 1986, and look forward to the the work needed to delist the river as an Area of Concern.
